Intuition around work
The holidays have come and gone, it is time to return to work and school for another year. Many people will eagerly return to swap holiday stories with colleagues and classmates; However, for some, it is a time of dread as they return to an unfulfilling job. If you find yourself in the latter group, perhaps it is time to take heed of your thoughts and emotions and take a chance to move into something that is more fulfilling.
These thoughts and feelings are your intuition talking to you and listening to your body and what it is telling you is extremely important. If it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t, and it is time to weigh up the pro’s and con’s of staying and explore your options for leaving.
When we ignore our intuition whispers, they turn into louder shouts that are much harder to ignore. If you ignore your intuition and stay in a job where you are unhappy at work, your work will suffer, and you may be causing a ripple effect to set the stage later for a move that is out of your control. However, if you are unable to change jobs now, try to create a balance in your life by filling it with things that bring you joy and pleasure.
“The hardest thing to listen to — your instincts, your human personal intuition — always whispers; it never shouts. Very hard to hear.
So you have to, every day of your lives, be ready to hear what whispers in your ear. It very rarely shouts. And if you can listen to the whisper, and if it tickles your heart, and it’s something you think you want to do for the rest of your life, then that is going to be what you do for the rest of your life, and we will benefit from everything you do.”
