Easter represents new beginnings

Easter represents new beginnings

Easter represents a time of new beginnings, and as we discover new ways to do things, this is as relevant as ever. It has been wonderful to see more people whilst out for my morning ride.

Due to the gyms closing, people are finding new ways to exercise and getting back to the simple things in life, free exercise in the sun! The simple act of going for a walk around the block has many benefits such as cardiovascular exercise and providing a daily dose of vitamin D from the sun.

It also acts as a separation between work and homelife for those working at home. My work arrangements include working one week at home alternating with  one week in the office. This arrangement is a great way to balance the human connection with the perks of working from home, such as less distractions and being able to play handball in my lunch break with my partner.

I am lucky that I live with my partner and am mindful of those who live alone currently. I love to say hello to everyone I meet; it may be the only time they see another person.

So next time you plan your day, think about how you can get your daily exercise in and if you live alone, consider going for a walk around your neighbourhood in order to get that human connection too.
