Using crystals for chakra healing
Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning “wheel”, there are 7 major spinning energy wheels in which energy flows in our aura, the base being the least vibrational. Everything is made up of energy, the slower the energy, the more solid the matter. Imagine a ribbon, your highest vibrations are your thoughts, which create your emotions which create your feelings which create physical changes in your body. Using this analogy, it is clear to see how your energy is translated into cellular, hormonal and physiological changes.
Crystals are a great tool to work with your chakras with, you can either choose crystals for their properties or to match the colour of the chakra you are going to play them on.
The Crown Chakra:
Located at the top of the head (anterior fontanelle of new-born babies), the Crown Chakra’s colour is clear white, violet is its secondary colour. The crown chakra is considered one of the highest vibrational centres in the aura and is most active when we are involved in spiritual endeavours.
Developing the other chakras is like walking on a steppingstone path taking us towards this goal towards enlightenment, self-realisation, fulfilment and divine self that is the crown chakra.
On a physical level, the crown chakra is associated with the activity of the cerebral cortex and general nervous system functioning. Additionally, the proper activation of the crown chakra influences the synchronisation between the left and right brain hemispheres. The crown chakra is also closely linked to the pineal gland. For the crown chakra to be fully awakened there must occur a balance of the body, mind and spirit.
Physical dysfunctions associated with the crown chakra include energetic disorders, mystical depression, extreme sensitivities to light, sound and other environmental factors.
When we awaken the crown chakra we open to the possibilities of infinity of space and time and have divine wisdom and understanding of humanity, selflessness, spirituality and devotion.

The third eye chakra is one of the psychic centres that gradually develops with meditation. A person who has a highly developed third eye chakra can ‘see within’.
Physically, the third eye chakra is associated with the pineal gland the pituitary gland, and the spinal cord, as well as the eyes, ears, nose and sinuses. Diseases caused by dysfunction of the third eye chakra may be caused by an individual’s not wanting to see something that is important to his or her soul growth.
